Checklist
Tap a box on the card to try it: once for done, twice for partly done, three times to open it again.
If it has an end and a date, it is a goal. If you would run it again next month, it is a template.

For anyone who does the same thing more than once, or is working towards something with several parts:
Three ideas, kept apart on purpose. A template is how you do something and never carries ticks. A checklist is one pass through it. A goal is something you want to reach, with several checklists behind it. If it has an end and a date, it is a goal; if you would run it again next month, it is a template.
Give it a name and list the items, grouped if you like — "Kitchen", "Bathroom", "Last thing". A template holds no ticks, so it is always ready to use again.
From a template, or from nothing. Starting copies the items in, so changing the template later never disturbs a checklist already under way — and changes to the checklist never reach the template.
One tap marks an item done, a second marks it partly done, a third opens it again. Partly done counts as closed; the counts show done, partly done and open separately so the number never flatters you.
Name the outcome, give it a date and a reason, and attach the checklists that get you there. Its progress is a straight count of items across all of them.
A checklist completes itself when nothing is left open. You can also call it complete early, or stop it where it stands and reopen it later.
Checklist is available on the free plan. Some features, like cloud save and sync, need an account.
Your checklists stay in your browser. Nothing is saved to our servers unless you ask. Sign in to back up online and sync across your devices.
Run the same template as often as you like. Every run is its own checklist with its own ticks.
Several checklists under one goal, counted together item by item, with a target date and your reason for it.
For the item you tried and closed with a caveat. Counted as closed, and reported on its own.
Pin what you are working on to the top. Duplicate anything — with its ticks, or as a clean copy.
Hand your templates and goals to someone else without your own ticks in the file.
Install it or just use it. After the first load, ticking items does not need a connection.
